Nutrition is not a “eat this, not that” issue. The mind and the way that we think about food plays a large role in what we eat and when we eat. As well, what we feel when we see food affects the body on a physical level. To make lasting change, we have to address what we think about food and what we are seeing when we visualize our food. With advanced education and experience in functional medicine, I can get you on a nutrition track to make you feel and perform like you are in your 20s again.

Physical Fitness

Becoming physically fit or maintaining fitness looks different for everyone. Often, what we can do for fitness changes as we age or may look different after an injury. As well, schedules play a large role in what we can do to maintain physical fitness. Regardless of physical abilities, physical fitness is imperative to over health and wellbeing. Let me motivate you to get on track.

Active people often find themselves with an injury that just doesn’t seem to get better. Even with physical therapy and other forms of professional treatment, pain does not always go away and that can lead to cessation of enjoyable activities and sports. This doesn’t always have to be the case but can require specifically individualized evaluation and tweaking of exercises and stretches provided by a physical therapist or other professional. As well, sometimes changing the way an activity is performed can allow for continued participation. With the help of your specialist or physical therapist, I want to get down to the smallest detail about your movement and get you back to what you love.

Stress Management

Being a “yes” person can create significant burden on anyone. But, being self centered will decrease opportunities for progress. Equilibrium is the key to a successful work life balanced with a fulfilling family and social life. Imbalance creates stress that is harmful to mental and physical health. I have a Ph.D. in Mind-Body medicine and have the knowledge to help you even out your life responsibilities so you can feel productive, rested, and energized.
